are you both rcsb or ecsb trucks or him rcsb and you ecsb, what gears do you have compared to him, to many varibles not answerd here.

if memory serves me correctly hes a rcsb 4.8, the guy he raced is a ecsb 5.3

theres a big issue right there. You have a much taller gear set than him. Most people find that swapping from 3.42's to 4.10s is good for about 3/10ths of a second in the quarter.

Dumb question but does being 4/6in drop help him any? I thought I was weird he was hanging so close but the gears explain it makes me feel alitlle bitter

it probably helps a VERY little bit, the only reason i could see it helpin is cause the driveshaft is straight to rear diff instead of angled.... but to be honest wit you i dunno even if thats totally true

some ppl will say it helps aerodynamically... to that i say, your in a Fing pickup truck, 4500+ lbs

i would say that is why i had the same cam in my 5.3 from a few mods no tune hand held i got the truck down to 13.83 then i put cam and pulley and went out with close to the same weather i went 13.71 my 60' sucked then i got a tune and it went down to 13.39 and then got a stall and more tunning
and got it down from that.get a stall around 3k and then go race him again i bet you wiin
