I pulled on a hemi tonight. We raced from a 30mph punch...his passenger counted it off and when we hit it, I jumped half a length on him. His front bumper was at the back of my cab and I was slooooooowly pullin' away. We let off about 80-85mph and slowed back down, I had to let him know I just had a 4.8....lol. He asked what I had done to it, I just told him an intake and exhaust He had an exhaust, some lower profile tires(285/50's maybe) on some aftermarket 20's, it was a quad cab 1/2 ton.

Current mods - custom tune, LS1 fans, Vararam King Cobra air intake, Dynomax Ultraflo exhaust(true duals with an H pipe), 4.11 gears, 275/55R20's wrapped around some heavy chrome 20's.

 

Good kill man! Thats how I do it, the only thing they can obviously notice is the aftermarket exhaust tone so that is the only thing I admit to having!

I didn't question his mods, but I know he had a high flow exhaust of some sort. I didn't want to rub salt in the wound by having him detail his list of mods(if any)

I wouldn't say I spanked that hemi, but I was pullin' off sloooowly. This was one of my first close street races and to have it out with the "legendary" hemi was awesome

I just have the SS cover, notice I haven't changed the grill yet, it still has the chrome grill. But I've heard the SS cover adds 10HP

 

I compared slip with a Rumble Bee SCSB at the track today and I was .3 faster than him. All he had was and AreoChamber muffler, and then I talked him into odering a superchips and a intake tomarrow...lol
