Well I was driving home today(SS silverado with bolt-ons and tune) after droping off the z71 for new rims and tires and what do I see but a black SRT-10 QC pulling out of the dealers lot. So I speed up to get around a few cars and line up at a light next to him. Its a guy out on a test drive with a sales man. The salesman kinda gives the nod lets go. So I stall up to like 2700(are they supose to go that high stock?) and the light turns green. He jumps to my front bumper and the jump stops there. We run to 6100 in 2nd when I let off he maybe pulled half a truck from my bumper by then. I lost but I wasn't that impressed. He turns off and I keep going(sure he was sold on the truck but I sure wasn't).

Next race was few miles down the road after I pick up the new bike when I see a old mustang. Real Clean, I get up next to it and see gt-350 on the side. I was like well lets see how it runs. we are doing about 25 and i hit it a little he pulls up next to me and revs. I do the three honks and were off. I put my rear bumper on his right way and stay there to 70. I wasn't impressed again. Not sure if it was real shelby or fake it was clean gave the guy shaka(hawaii) and he gives one back go on about our day.

I wish the track was still open out here cause last time the truck was ran the wife(her SS i have the z71) beat me with a 14.8 before headers(full length exhuast), throttle body and 180 stat). I think I could run low 14 in the truck. maybe 14.3. Just fun day out but spent lots of money again on the truck. ahhh

 

Maybe you should go back to the Dodge dealer and ask the salesman for the commision..lol. The GT-350 depending on the year came with a 289 or 302 late 69/70 very few of those around had the 351w in it. Good races though, good luck on your next kill!

 

I should ask for some money. I went by the dealer today and the truck was gone. So it was sold yesturday. Had to give back the SS to the wife and get back in the z71. It fells so slow. It was good times and good fun havn't raced either one of the trucks in awhile and the z71 will be gone as soon as I am able to get my hands on the new chevy vortecmax.
