First off my manger has this 02/03 dodge 5.9 and he swore up and down that he could take me.... well for a week i kept askin when we will go and he kept sayin " you dont want none, come at me when you have a real truck to race me". So tonite when we left work i followed him to his truck and said lets go. Pulling on the main street we went to the second light and we waited for a green light, there to the third light is if i remeber right is right at 1350ft or so..... he got me off the line we both spun a lot but as soon as i hit 50mph i walked him.... we pulled over and said whats in it again and i said 5.3l and just a air raid cai and 40's dumped.... i asked him and he said that he had the same thing.... i just loved the look on his face when i said it only had 5.3l in it....

 

keep it real!!! 5.3's aren't no joke.

you should havwe taken him from the start badly .stock 5.3s dont spin much strihgt unless its slick road.

 

my extended cab smoke the **** out of the tires when it was stock, back then that was fun!! now that it is not stock, I freakin hate it!! cant get no traction!!

 

I lauched at 2000 and i spun badly.... but he didnt jumped me that bad just a half a fender..... and then i walked him from there..... where do yall lauch at.... and oh by the way i cant make up my mind on what gears 3.73's or 4.10's this is my daily driver the Z is in the shop( cant make up my mind on what i want to do with it yet.. thinking ***** out with it and me and dad make it a living hell on the street)... i know i need to post it in the gear section but im sorry

 

...or if it's a one wheel wonder, then it will spin until you let off the loud pedal.

 

If you drive on the interstate a lot I wouldn't suggest 4.10's. I'm turning about 2k at 60 MPH.

 

I have 4.10's and wish I had more gear. The next jump up is 4.56 but I wish there was something in between.
