Default Finally got a hemi from a roll

I've been dying to race one from a roll and tonight I finally got to. It's dark green 2wd rcsb sittin on 17's. I see him all over the place and everytime we pass each other he throws a rev, so the only thing i know he has is exhaust. Well i'm headin home from work and i see him gettin ready to pull out and turn back the other way, well when i pass him he turns on his other turn signal and follow and gets all on my *** and acts like he's gonna pass but i guess he remembers theres a turn up ahead, but after the turn a really long straight so i knew it was about to go down. We get in the straight and i dropped it into 2nd going about 45 and i see him coming around me and he pulled until my front bumper was at his door and then i started coming back on em. Grabbed 3rd and pulled ahead and as soon as i got my door to his front bumper he let out if. I think i'll do pretty good against one from a dead stop when i get my locker. Now i wanna go with one from a 70-100 roll.

Was that with or without spray?? What mph were you at when he quit?? The hemi's slow spot is on that 2-3 shift around 80-90mph depending on whether he had 3.55's or 3.92's. Anyway, good kill.

I wish there were a few more quick trucks where I live. I'm in Dallas, so you would think that there are fast cars and trucks everywhere, but I never find people that actually want to race...and when I do find someone to race, there is too much traffic.

Yeah i'm gonna stay w/the 3.73 for gas mileage purposes. But i definitely need to hurry and get the locker installed b/c i still spun when i downshifted and dumped it. But i started pulling at 70 and he shut it down at about 75. And it was without spray, i'd sell my truck if that's all it could do with it. But the juice is useless until 70, if i hit it anywhere before then it just smokes em.

Yeah...If he wasn't pulling on you by 75, then he realized he didn't have a chance and shut it down. When we are at 75mph, we are in a sweet spot at the end of 2nd gear when she is pulling strong. If you were pulling at that time and he would have stayed in it, you would have probably jumped out another truck length on him as he made his 2-3 shift.

hahhahaahahaha, i won't, lol, not compared to some of the others on this site. I went and had my bottle filled yesterday at Bucks in G-ville and it's an absolute waste. My truck is completely useless w/o a locker. I've got an eaton sittin right next to me, just gotta find the time to get it installed. So i decided not to go to ware shoals and waste my money, it would have just been a smoke show.

Buck's has the best prices around... although they do fluctuate. Before I turned bigbadboy onto their shop I had gotten it as low as $1.82/pound. Then it went to $2; to $2.25 and I think the last time I paid $2.85- but that was back in July. Haven't had my truck since August so no spray's been used, well, not by me- I have no idea what they are doing with my truck down there. LOL

WT, i used to go there until i found out i didn't like the way they fill it up. don't get enough NX so i turned to Power parts and performance and they do a really good job at fillin them up. i get a lot more NX with them and my hits are stronger as well. might want to try them 1 time and see what you think. the only thing is that they don't cool off your bottle like Bucks does so bring cool to them.

The last shop that filled my bottle was terrible. I already had 5 pouds in it, so they just put 5 pounds in on top of that. I wanted them to completely drain the bottle and then refill, but I didn't watch them do it. So now I know I have some air in the bottle which really sucks. And they do not cool the bottle off either.
