So driving home from work yesterday on hwy 100 with a bunch of computers in the back of my truck and I check my side mirror since I'm in the center lane of traffic doing 75 in a 60 zone and I see this new shiny black 350Z weaving in and out of traffic catching up to me in a hurry. He's now in the open up by me in the left lane and I look over through his dark tinted windows and see it's one of those middle 20-aged-salesman-money maker types who thinks his little Z is the hottest thing on the road. I know my truck isn't by far but I figured I haven't raced a Z ever so what the hell..... I pushed the clutch in, downshifted to 3rd and revved on him. As soon as he bit we were off. Dead even from 75-85 then either he doesn't know how to drive a stick or his auto shifted out on him too early. I let the 4.8 do some more walking and at 6000+ Rpm's (dunno since tach stops at 6) I was doing 100 in 3rd and was 2 trucks ahead, back into 4th and it was a steady walk on him. At 110 I shut down since he got the point and as he went by me he was shrugging his shoulders like "what the hell was that all about?" I bet he brought his car back in to the dealership today to have them check it out to make sure it's running right

I dunno, it sounds like he wasn't even trying. He shrugged his shoulders at you because he probably didn't understand why you "raced" him. Maybe he got a good laugh from you too... Either way, nice kill.

Yah dude.. I dont know
I have an 04 Silverado SS and my wife has an 03 350Z with a cold air intake. We have raced plenty of times on the freeway. Before the Radix with my JBA shorty headers/Outlaw CAI/Tune the 350z would pull me pretty good from 80MPH on.... I couldnt keep up at all. From a dead stop, I would be dead even until 75-80. BUT I also have a Yank tt2600 stall.
Now, with the Radix... I leave the Z in the dust
I am guessing he didnt try... or wasnt on it as hard as he could.

i had a 350z before i bought my 6.0l and if you only running 14.4-14.5 you cant drive worth a crap.. i ran a 14.1 bone stock at california speeedway 2200 ft....saying you destroyed a 350z is alittle much....cause i know i would have destroyed your truck.. funny how people talk so much crap about how they destroy all these faast cars. how do you know they were racing..want to find out how your truck really does agaist a 350z go to the track and race one..

350Z's trap 98-100mph stock so either the guy didn't know how to drive or wasn't racing, either way nice kill
sorry bro but 14.1 is not fast but about the average for a stock "sports car" right there w/ a mustang gt. Stock for stock comparing 14.1 to a truck, yea, it is going to be fast. A stock 350z running like a "raped ape"...nah, not saying they don't run good, but nowhere near "raped ape" status.
