Default 5.3l 3.23 vs 6.0l 4.10

My 5.3 is slightly modded Homemade CAI,descreened MAF, NGK & MSD, 180 Thermo, Gutted Cats, TB Bypass, and self tuned. Also have 265-70-17 Tires. With me and my friend in the truck on the Gtech ran. 1st run 7.37 0-60 15.96@92.7 1/4 Tailgate up. 2nd run 7.45 15.98@92.5 Tailgate down.

My Friends 05 2500 6.0L 4.10 4wd Bonestock
1st run 8.47 0-60 16.53@86.7 1000 launch
2nd run 8.12 0-60 16.23@89.6 1500 launch
Both runs Tailgate down

Just thought it was interesting #'s (I know the gtech is not super accurate).

Later we will line the trucks up door to door from a stop and a roll seems like the slower we are going the more to my advantage.

You need to get rid of that 3:23 rear axle. That thing slows you down alot! It's great for the freeway though. When I have my 05' GMC, I had the 3:23 rear axle and I couldn't do a burnout. It really sucked, then I changed it out to a 3:73 and it I could really feel the difference. Just my .02

After alot of tuning my truck now gets 22 mpg on the hwy. My next mods are headers, exhaust, heads ,cam, and converter. I want gears bad but I like the gas mileage to much.

BTW both trucks are extended cab. My Dad has an 04 CC 6.0l 4.10 gonnago gtech when I get the chance and this weekend friend is coming over with a 04 5.3l 3.42 EC, gonna run his too.
