Yep, good point as well.

Anyways, it's alive! But, I have some kind of erratic tapping noise from the passenger head area that definitely was not there prior to the install. The interesting thing is the noise goes completely away when I rev the engine. Could it be the downpipe hitting against the crossover pipe near the log? I don't know. If it was something internal I'd expect it to still be noisy or even worse with increased rpms. I'll sleep on it and think further. I'll probably have to pull the passenger valve cover to inspect. Oil pressure is perfect, no SES light.

Also, Oil drain was replaced per silver-mod-o's recommendation and was also completely wrapped in Cool Tape. I feel much better having done that.

Did you check the oil level after firing it up??? Did you add any oil since installing the new set up???

Yes, I added 6 qts as usual, dipstick was good when cold. I asked KB and he said it shouldnt need any more than usual. Now I did completely drain the pan when I removed it plus the leakdown of oil from the engine for sitting for a week, so I will consider adding a tad more oil since it probably has a little less than usual in it plus the amount of oil in the lines and turbo.

For what it's worth, I always used to run with 7qts of oil in mine, and still do actually. No matter how fresh or tight that engine is, it'll eat some oil in boost, the extra at doesn't hurt anything and gives you some insurance in case you do develop a leak somewhere. Wrapping the drain hose was a good call too.

Added that extra quart of oil, noise has considerably lessened. At startup it was gone but after driving around the block is still vaguely noticeable at idle. With rpm is goes away. I may just pull the valve cover and have a peak, otherwise I'll just roll with it.

Now, who was it that said a turbo really quits exhaust? lol. This thing is ridiculously loud open DP. I need to get a muffler on this thing so I can actually take it out and tune it. Smells like it's running rich....but I haven't installed the WB 02 sensor yet. Next weekend I guess.

What is your turbine size and a/r? Im sure its no tiny wheel like whats on my MP70. Those BWs with the bigger wheels seem to be just a tad louder

Sounds like a small exhaust leak.

83mm turbine 1.00 A/R. It's definitely a large turbo. I am very glad I did not go with the T6 version. Fit is very tight as is.

I'm thinking so too. I bet it's at the crossover to log joint. That's the only place I didn't put RTV and I also didn't tigten that joint until I had the DP in so I could barely see it. The pipes may not be ideally seated in the V band.

Anyways, I'll worry about that after I get the exhaust figured out past the DP. I already miss my Corsa catback. I'm gonna go with Magnaflow 12772 (4" in/out/core, 30" OAL) and then see what an exhaust shop can do. Being lowered and all, I double 4" pipe is going to fit over the rear end, probably have to dump it before that.
