Yep, it frees up a ton of space. The stock tank is just all up in the turbo's business too close for my liking. I just need to fab up some brackets and get some new hose, and a brass T, and I will be good. The vette's tank has a smaller outlet size than the truck.

Does the vette tanks have a line for the overflow like the truck one does?

Yep. Lines are different sizes, but no big deal.

Edit: she lives!!! No abnormal smoke, fires, leaks lol. Good oil pressure.

I specifically bought the 97-99 coolant tank because it has the coolant level sensor but the connector doesn't fit even though it has the same shape. Wtf. I'll probably just tune out the low coolant light.

Don't know if you can tune out the light, but if you put a jumper wire in the plug or cut it off and connect the 2 wire it won't come on.

Yep, fired up and ran fine. No noticeable change just idling in the garage with the br7ef plugs versus the tr6s.

The line coming off the air intake goes to the passenger valve cover pvc port. In theory it should be pulling vacuum on the crankcase while in boost.

Just a heads up, my Typhoon had this from the factory, it worked well. Don't be alarmed if you find a small amount of oil accumulate in the elbow just in front of the compressor.. It's to be expected unless you are running an oil separator..

Good luck with the build, its going to fly !

When I disassembled everything to take the heads down there was NO oil in the turbo compressor or air filter tube. But, I haven't been above 5 psi so there probably isn't too much vacuum there.

The truck has been back up for about a week now and is driving good! No change in driveability with the BR7EF plugs versus the TR6 that I can tell.

I did install a 160 thermostat and with no A/C on the truck will run 170-174. With the A/C on and in stop and go traffic I saw it get up to 190 F. Get rolling on the highway and it would come down to a steady 180. The cooling capacity of the small radiator just isn't there. So sometime in the future I will be swapping to the HD radiator. Anyone know if the HDs also had a bigger clutch fan? I do know the shroud itself is different obviously.

Later this month I'll be getting some injectors from FIC, hopefully installing the Walbro 450 next weekend and then get this darn thing WOT. It's killing me not having been over 50% tps yet lol. After that I'm looking into some 17" Bogarts (versus widened stockers) with 325 M/H radials out back.

Oh, and I also won't be DD'ing this thing much longer. Breaking down in the middle of rush hour traffic took away any desire to DD this thing. Test drove a Chevy Cruze and was very pleased with it. 1.4L TURBO!
