Congrats man..

Glad you almost have it lined out...

If it weren't for all the damn freezing *** weather and the **** with Mom's Ford I might be in about the same point with mine.. You guys also have an advantage of having a garage. I have the great outdoors and my layers of fat, which are getting harder to heat with my old age setting in...

yeah it's a magnaflow 3" x that skeet gave to me a few years back. it sounds exactly how the old Silverado sounded, but revs a lot quicker.

now that I can hear the engine, I have some kind of chatter that's driving me ape **** crazy. I cant tell if it's a lifter, something in the trans, or something behind the dash. it doesn't make the noise at all under load, but I can get it to do it at idle, in park, cruising...it seems to be triggered by the brakes a little. i'm lost on where to start looking.

If its triggered by the brakes start there.. check lines, calipers, rotors, lug nuts, all the parts in the front end, steering box..... Work your way through it all...

i dont think it's the brakes though. sometimes it does it on the brakes, sometimes not. mainly during cruising rpm. im going to pull the valve covers and check for loose rockers or a broken spring.
