since the s10 is on stand by until i'm clear to lift/bend/do anything, the fat bitch got some love yesterday.

all of the tint was bubbled, peeling, scratched etc. couldnt roll down the rear windows due to old dry glue. took it to the original shop that tinted the windows and they cut me a hell of a deal to fix it all (told them i was the original purchaser and threw a fit lol)

$70 to strip the old **** and lay 5% over all 5 windows. couldnt pass that up. the tailgate handle was missing/broken, so i found an aftermarket handle on ebay for $17. couldnt be happier with the fit/finish of the handle. finally i ran it by a MR car wash. they did a terrible job, but i knew the truck needed a GOOD hand wash. it probably hasnt been waxed since 2002. bugs are perminately burried in that big *** HD hood. i cant find a bad spot in the clearcoat anywhere though. anyways, the fat bitch is coming along. i got a new fuel pressure regulator along with a new FPR vacuum line to replace the old brittle one. new PCV valve too. i cleaned the old PCV valve while running seafoam and made it rattley/squeaky when the truck started cold. replaced the brittle PCV vent line with some rubber hose.

I ran a can of foam through the gas, i have some in the crank case and i ran a full can through the intake. 185,000 mile engine with EGR was 1 hell of a smoke show!!!! best i've seen anyways

i think my back is up to replacing a FPR really quick so i'm heading out. still need find whatever is leaking in the coolant system, but that can wait. i've topped it off once in a month or so and the low coolant light hasnt come on. the new plugs/wires/manifold bolt extraction/egr removal can wait for a while. i do need to get someone to replace my carrier bearing soon though. can't do it myself at this point, and it really needs to be done.

sorry for the novel. i'm bored. i'd rather be finishing the s10

She cleans up really nice. Wish I had been there to run across that steal of a deal!!

I am going to be hunting for a full sized truck come early next year when taxes roll in. unfortunately it MIGHT be in the neighborhood you paid for this but no where near as nice of a truck.. I will probably wind up with some 1995 hunk of broken down **** I will have to spend $10000 over a year on to get "decent".

haha, the s10 has come a LONG ways. honestly, all it needs is the trans controller wired, spring sliders bolted/welded and a few things tied down. seems fast and easy. the OCD and ADD in me makes things take twice a long as the should lol
