Hmmm. What a pain. Personally i would just go with a smaller cam. I am lazy if you cant tell.

and here i was thinking about getting a bigger cam since i'm having to flycut anyways remember...4600 converter that should flash closer to 5k on nitrous. small cam my ***

07, but i may ask around to see which cam position sensor works best with the ignition controller that i have. i've heard of people having to cut and switch the cam position wires depending on which position sensor they are running.

does SDPC rent flycutting tools?

Would you be able to run a thicker head gasket to help with the PTV clearance?

unless they make a .130 thickness gasket lol. theres virtually zero P2V on the intake with a stock gasket. the motor turns fine but the dial indicator doesnt read anything.

made time to flycut the pistons today. .099 exhaust clearance and i cut .090 off of the intake side to get .072 intake cleearance. aside from the cam and crank sensors, the motor will be completely buttoned up tomorrow. transmission time!

i havent buttoned it up yet. no clue on when i will get it into the truck. once the transmission is finished i'll start pulling the truck apart for the new power plant.
