Who’s turbo kit are you running? Or are you gonna build it yourself? Should make for a nice combo, curious how the new Gen 2 7875 does.

Huron Speed kit. I really liked their hotside kit. But comes with 4in intercooler, 44mm WG and 50mm BOV

So this last weekend I finally started the build. First off was the motor work. I swapped cams with the BTR stage 2 turbo cam, BTR dual .660 springs, LS7 lifter and ARP head studs.

I would have taken more pictures but even when I work on my own stuff the flat rate mentality is ingrained in me so I'm trying to get finish as quick as I can.

Everything went smooth and took me a Saturday morning at work. Had to drill out an exhaust manifold bolt but nothing out of the ordinary there. Previous owner of the truck maintained it well, the inside of the engine was surprisingly clean.

Matt at Sloppy Mechanics gained about 100hp all he did was go from Gen 1 to Gen 2. Take that how you want.

Looking really good. I am in in the middle of my turbo build. I took the motor out instead, I thought it would be easier that way.

ya I seen that, with like 8psi more maxed out. The real test is a back to back between gen1 and 2 on the same setup on the same dyno at the same boost. Just curious, it’s too small for my tastes but still interesting to see how they compare to each other.

Couple updates. I’ve been traveling a ton for work lately so it’s been hard to get much done.
