You'll need a 4" downpipe with the 1.25 a/r. I want to be in the 700ish hp range. I know the .96 a/r is capable of that I just wanted to try something different. Honestly at the time I bought my turbo, close to 9 months ago, it was very new and not many had ran it yet,

If I was to start over though I think I would run the VS 80mm.
For 700hp you would most likely be better off with a 475/87
A 80mm compressor would be overkill for 700hp

Not that an 80 wouldn’t work, but just like pushing a turbo to hard, if you aren’t pushing it hard enough it’s also less efficient.

Thanks,good to know,

This is my first turbo build and I used the sloppy Dont BS me build as a guide. I'm a GM master tech but havent really got too heavy into the performance side of things tell as of late. I think Ill be happy with my set up as it sits.

To be honest if it makes anything over 600 I'll be cool with that. It has room to grow as well.

What fuel rails are you running? Everything looks good so far. Looking forward to seeing it all buttoned up and what she puts down.

Ebay fasster rails. Theyre affordable and quality is great. I looked them over really well before installing and I had zero complaints.

I havent been updating this thread as much as I should. I've made some progress over the last few weeks. I got everything to a point to where it could be started. Here are a couple crappy start up/idle videos I took. I was actually surprised it would start on the stock tune with the big injectors and e85 I splashed in the tank.

I'm getting closer! I have some odds and ends to button up. Then next will come the 80e swap when the torque converter shows up.

I post updates to my instagram more often if any of you are curious @st_turbo_truck
