The seats are the FX1 Pro's. They have bottom and side mounts. The bottom mount pattern will bolt up. I just used my side mount plates to make them a little more sturdy and to raise the seat up another inch.

I can take some better pictures when I get them locked down. I'll send them to you when I get it finished up.

Belated update from last weekend.

Took the truck out to the NMCA event and got to finally push it. The truck was working pretty well (suspension wise) and didn't do too bad. Still need to spend some time dialing in the shocks, but overall she was working great. Now that all of the suspension issues have been sorted out, the next hurtle is the trans swap. I am signed up for LS Fest West and would really like to bring the truck out with the manual swap done. It's going to be a close one, but I'm going to try.

Here's a few pictures of NMCA shot from my phone. Still going through pictures on the nice camera. Those will be posted when we finish going through the cards.

Looks like you have a lot of negative camber on the front. Is that intentional? If so, how much?

The front's got about 1.8* negative right now. It is intentional. I would like an even -2*, but I'm limited with the stock upper control arm bushings and cam bolts.

How is the steering response with that much camber? I have mine set at one degree negative and it feels less responsive right off center then about a 1/4 turn in bites real hard. I did a lot of changes at once so trying to pinpoint what it may be.

Initial Turn in bites pretty hard. The stickier tire likes a little more camber than a normal street tire.

Wondering if you are noticing some slop in the steering rack. With the slower ratio I could see some of the lag. I would like to quicken up the ratio on my steering to help it out a little more. Another one of the many projects.

Steering rack was one of the changes made. It's a new, not re-man, Cardone stock replacement. I too would like a quicker ratio. Since it needed to be replaced, I researched a quicker ratio rack that may fit with minimal modification before getting a stock replacement. I found the trucks actually have one of the quicker ratios among power racks at 13.5:1 iirc. If you find something otherwise, I would appreciate the info.

Curious on the faster ratio rack you were looking at? Was it an aftermarket rack or a stock piece off another vehicle that could be made to work? I was considering modifying the column with a quickener. probably 1.5:1. Would have to pull the column out to see if was even possible.

Aftermarket racks are not rated in ratios as the spindle plays a part in that equation. Rather they are rated in rack gain or the travel/revolution of the wheel. The mustangII front suspension is a common platform for aftermarket racks and in that platform 20:1 is considered standard ratio and 15:1 is quick ratio. I was looking at the XL rack from Flaming River and iirc it wasn't any better than the stock rack. I would have to try to find my notes of the gain of the stock truck rack.
A custom spindle with a shorter steering link would quicken the ratio the same as a higher gain rack would do. The steering quickener is an interesting idea too.

Sorry to bring up an old post, but waaaay back in post 42 you mention "Franks" truck. A white 90's swb. Wondering if you can point me in the direction of a build thread for that truck if there is one. Thank you.
