I meant limiting the platforms I can put this engine into. Such as a vette or camaro already setup for 58x

Nevermind, I'm going with a DBC setup. Too much involved in getting a DBW setup incorporated and get things to work like cruise control, etc.

Now I just have to figure out how to get my cruise control to work on the DBC setup. Looks like I may have to relocate the module.

I've found time to pull the old engine and transmission from my truck and install the new LS3 block and 4L80E transmission to test fit them and measure for the rear driveshaft. Everything bolted right up into place with no modifications, even though the 4L80E is longer than the 4L60E. The Dirty Dingo adjustable mounts are the ticket. Never mind the factory rubber mounts. I have new poly one's, just used the factory one's for mockup.

I installed slip yoke eliminator kit on it. Now, there's a factory crossmember interfering with where the driveshaft will go.

I've purchased a new standalone harness from PSI Conversions. Plan was to mock it up in the truck, but it's so nasty right now that I may just wait on that till I can get it cleaned up.

Now, I'm ready to drop off the engine at the machine shop. They are telling me 3 months to complete!

What are my options for air intake?

Also, what about a MAF? I'm running the Fast LSXRT intake and my harness has a 5 pin connector for the MAF. Where do I find or who makes one that will work with my setup?

And, one more question...The 102mm vs 92mm throttle body debate, which should I go with?

What did you decide on for computer? Like the controller number. E38/E67 or did you swap crank triggers and go 24x?

Is it the 58x harness with a GEN 4 style MAF connector or the GEN 3?

58x could assume it's made for a 5 wire card style MAF sensor like I believe the LS3's run. So a LS3 card style MAF would work. 24x would be different.

102mm TB does kinda seem overkill but matches your intake size.

I decided to do the 24x with DBC throttle body, so the computer will be the 0411 variety.

Here's a link to the harness I purchased...

I would maybe contact them directly to see what they think is the best MAF to run but that does look like the GEN 4 style MAF plug in.

Well, I added to my 2dr Tahoe/Yukon obsession. I'm picking up this 97 2dr 2wd. There might be a slight change of plans now.

No go on the 2wd. Traveled 4 hours to buy it this weekend and found out guy lied through his teeth about the truck. He wanted WAAAY more than I was willing to pay for his BS. Found another when I left there with a 6.0 LS swap. It turned out to be trashed and wanted waaaay too much. I give up on looking for a 2wd. I'm tired of dealing with lying *** people. I'll stick with my 4x4
