Its a coolant steam distribution block...each of the stainless hoses goes to a corner of the heads. It prevents air bubbles and associated hot spots. I think having this really helps the back cylinders live...everyone says its a fuel issue is why 7 and 8 go so much, but its actually a coolant issue with the block design. Every little bit helps, and having them blocked off is about the worst thing you can do.

I wanted to test the meth shut off theory, but I think my backfire issues have been too conservative DFCO settings...also wanted to see if I made a huge mistake putting the nozzles behind the the BOVs.


This is a spare m15 nozzle I have using the test button on the controller. It stops pretty much instantly when I let off the button, and considering the solenoid would be hooked up to my hobbs switch, which would have a delay from when pressure starts to drop in the manifold, I dont think adding a solenoid would benefit me at all.

Uhu...it looks like it works a lot better being further back, especially for temps. I saw basically no rise in temps in a 70 to 120 run. But now I am having an issue of it breaking up at high rpm/high boost...need to pull the plugs and take a look.

Also...I strap my toolbox to the back wall of the bed with a ratchet strap, and my toolbox weighs about 70lbs. Well I took off hard from a stop and hear a thump, but didnt really think anything of it. When I get back home, I see my toolbox and tools in the back and see this...



It dented the tailgate enough so that when I opened it it popped off the hinges and I had to beat it with a block of wood and a sledge hammer to straighten it out enough to get it back on

 

Holy crap, that's horrible. Hopefully you didn't lose any small sockets or anything like that.

 

One reason im glad to have an extended cab truck! tool box stays under the backseat
