roll pan pics
#1
Well, I have been working on my roll pan for a bit now. I wanted something that almost looked like it came from the factory, but didn't. I am about ready to paint it, but decided to fizz can it in black just in case I didn't like it. I didn't want to waste the paint if I wanted to change it. I never put paint on the plate area or up by the gate, but you can get the idea. All in all I am pretty happy with the way it looks. I just have a little finish work before I can put good paint on it. The pipes are 4" coming out.

I agree, the angle cut tips would look better. I might actually buy them. I bought these before I decided to do it this way. We will see what time brings.
Yes, I did all of it myself.

Well here are the pics of the final product. I messed up a couple spots, but it is going to stay that way because I just want to drive it. I might change the pipes to the angle cut as suggested, but that would be over the winter. I need to finish my Chevelle this year. If anyone is interested, it was 4 coats of urethane primer wet sanded with 400, 2 coats of base, and 4 coats of clear.

Thanks. I do like the look of the new Dodge's, and I sort of copied it. I just wanted a more distinct lip that followed around the pipe. I should add that I used a vinyl wash on the bare metal too, I always use that when I paint something that I want nice.
