Sucks the 6.0 died, but I can't wait to see how the 4.8 does with the weight and drag of a 4WD truck.

In the mean time I will be temporarily be jumping on the stock 4.8 bandwagon with foose04 and Most Hated, so the truck won't be benched while I rebuild the 6.0
exactly what happened to my 408

Saddle up, we got this!

You told me you wanted to keep your other stuff in place. That big damn S480 isn't in a t6 1.32 housing with a 96mm turbine is it? Even the 1.10 is going to be rough. I hope you have the 83 turbine and a good bottle heater, then we can get it moving out the hole.

My buddy's 370/PT88 setups did the same thing. Ended up being a spun bearing. Stock 4.8 seems like the way to go these days. Building motors are a thing of the past... hahaha

Defiantly a sleeper. Did it dead hook? Didn't hear any spinning but that is amazing for it to hook event in 4wd!

Good luck getting the engine back together soon.

Yes it is the 96mm. It will be a frankenstein truck like I said...should still be fun, though. I don't go to the track for bracket racing so I don't need to build boost on the line in any short amount of time.

That's huge man...Not the compressor side, but the hot side. I bet you had a little lag with the 370.

I'd like you to enjoy it some while your getting rebuilt, but that hot side is past what I would consider drag only.

It does have a quick spool valve, so the lag wasn't too bad. Will certainly be a bit worse with the 4.8, but I can deal with it. If I had a manual transmission life would suck with that hotside...
