Default Project "Rebel Yell"

I swear down here in the south there's dam near a truck in every gosh darned driveway... this one is mine.

"Rebel Yell" is a 100% southern truck commandeered from the Fort Wayne Indiana assembly plant just north of the Mason Dixon Line in the year two thousand.

Started life as a 200HP 4.3 V6 that suffered from the Dexcool induced intake gaskets weeping, still ran excellent but "Rebel Yell" needed something more as it had the suspension drop, Denali conversion bumper, nice paint (retired body/paint guy) and LTZ 20's. An LQ9 6.0 from a 2005 Escalade was procured, so the build begins.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share that my father "RedXray" has passed. I want to thank everyone on this forum that conversed with him. He loved anything that had to do with his truck including this forum.

Thanks.

Installed most of the harness and pressed on the power steering pulley. Waiting for new Knock Sensors and Harness to arrive. Test fitted the intake to see where the modified V6 to V8 fuel line fit.

Tomorrow: Install header & exhaust, o2 sensors, plugs & plug wires, heater hoses, driveshaft, core support, radiator & hoses, fan & shroud, a/c condenser, a/c accumulator, a/c lines, trans cooler, CAI, PCM, fluids, battery.
