I had the Z23 powerstop pads on my CTS-V that lasted 90k. I'm predicting that will be the last time you change pads on that truck.

The Speed Engineering "true dual" mufflers kept getting louder and louder as the packing burnt/blew out. Those are some nice looking mufflers BUT the build quality is just not there. The packing didn't last but 8 months and with the packing gone the thin stainless case vibrates like crazy sounding like **** during idle. On a 4/6 drop the true dual tailpipes in the kit will not fit between the bed and the rear housing. Knowing all this now... I wish I'd have only purchased the X pipe as that's all that's left of the Speed Engineering system.

Had the two 14" MagnaFlow's installed today and had my muffler guy bend some new tailpipes to exit at the rear like I wanted. There is very little room for 3" pipe between the bed and the rear housing with a 6 inch drop, he did a nice job with plenty of hangers to keep vibration to a minimum.

Not gonna lie the truck sounds awesome now with a deep rumble at idle plus the cam sounds choppier and it's surprisingly quiet inside the cab while cruising... drop the hammer and all hell brakes loose... sound wise!

Loving the look with the Gibson 4" tips exiting the rollpan... old school look, for an old car guy.

Short sound clip before the Gopro Hero 6 hit the hwy doing 65mph. Was headed to an abandoned road to record a burnout... I did find the camera on the side of the hwy with only the $20 protective case damaged, got lucky. Evidently I missed the mounting holes (low light) with the thumbscrew, all I had was the suction cup mount and safety tether still stuck to the tailgate

Here is the dashcam burnout anyway... really wanted that GoPro footage though lol

Small Update:

Sorta tired of the old school hotrod b&m t-handle.

Looking for the classic "Hurst" white round shifter ball I had on my hotrods back in the day. The issue is the B&M shifter has 1/2-20 threads and the standard hurst ball is a 3/8-16. They have a white universal hurst ball but the dam thing is $93+tax! **** that !

So poking around I found a "Speed Dawg" ball that matches the graphite interior and it has these badass skulls! Love the feel and the look and at only $48

Trucks running great coming up on a year since the build/swap

New tires... the old set were Hankooks (275/45/20) that were installed in 2010.

They still had some life, but these new Toyo Proxes ride so much nicer!

To finish the valvetrain, installed a set of BTR Chromoly 7.400 pushrods to complement the bronze trunnion kit previously installed.

OEM fuel pump hitting a lean spike (13.87 afr) at 6,500 RPMs and with 50 lb/hr injectors it must be the 12 year old stock fuel pump.

Replaced with a drop in Walbro 255lph to avoid low fuel pick up issues when modding the stock bucket. I've read less than 1/2 to a 1/4 tank of fuel sometimes there are pickup issues under hard acceleration with the modded bucket.

Like everything on this build I wanted to do this myself without asking for assistance so I used the tilt bed method.

At 62 years old I didn't even attempt lifting the bed by hand and trying to shove in a prop board. Using a 20 ton bottle jack along with my floor jack I carefully lifted the bed to get to the pump. Then used a jack stand for added safety.
