Its your van but I think it will look really confused on the outside if you lower it and then put offroad looking wheels and bumpers and stuff on it.
I do agree that it will probably confuse the crap out of people but as long as I can make it functional than I don't think it's a big deal, and maybe it'll end up looking good.

But to answer your first question:
This....

That's exactly what I'm planning on doing. Bags would primarily be used for towing but I'd like to get the front and back bagged so I can raise the body back off the frame and gain some ground clearance when I hit the desert or difficult roads, and then lower it for mpg's and cruising.

Sweet!

That's actually a cool project. All your projects before were standouts, but this one takes the cake!

Thanks, I have fun modifiying vehicles I guess, I'm really excited to finish this one though however I don't know if I have the $$ to finish it for a while. And thanks on the pic of the wrap!!

I say since you dont want to lift it go with just something clean and low key. Lower it on a decent set of wheels. Debadge and do a little colormatching or wrap the whole thing. I think it would look sick lifted on some mud tires with road armor but I feel you on wanting the mpgs. just my .2

So I was thinking, anyone know of a company that sells photo-voltaic cells or solar panels for vehicles? I want to line the top of the van with solar panels so that it can run the fridge and power the outlets and other small electrical appliances. I know some of the new hybrid's like the Pruis have solar panels on their roofs to power the AC when the car is stopped, thought their might be some aftermarket companies that sell that stuff.

It's definitely on the list of things to-do with this thing. I just don't have the money right now to do it.

De-badging is in progress...Had to get a plastic scrapper and some goo-gone. I'm pulling all the badging off except for the Duramax emblem, that sucker is staying on there!
And yeah, I'm gonna go low key, nothing to loud or obnoxious. Still interested in doing the Road Armor stuff though, or some kinda of brush guard.
