Project Man-Van

Got the tie-down hangers built. I used some stainless steel drawer handles. I plasti-dipped them black and the came out kinda good

Drilled and mounted...

And with a couple tie-downs I had laying around. I have about a dozen or so, should work well once they are all on there.

Shelf is 100% done. Now onto other things.

Awesome. Try going to an RV store for the photovoltaic cells. I think they're pretty common in that industry. And if you were thinking of off road lighting, I'm sure a big light bar would kill your fuel economy and add wind noise. Rigid Lighting has some cool setups that would fit in your grill. Keep it up!

I could still be a weirdo however, once this van is finished I gurantee it's gonna be a pretty badass, tow/camp/haul/utility rig.

Just wait till I get the wheels, paint/wrap and suspension done. I haven't touched the looks department and that's the one part that I really really see as setting this thing apart and am actually excited about doing. Doing the interior was more important but not that exciting to me when compared to doing the exterior. There's a few more things I want to do inside but they are expensive and take a back seat to finally getting things done about the exterior.

There aren't many people with diesel vans on the diesel forums but those who have them murder people all the time.

I plan on it!

Fridge is one of the last things I want to do, and it will be as part of a consol I build between the seats.

Yeah. And there easy to make power. A five switch efi live with good tunes can make a huge difference. But i think you should do intake exaust injectors and tunes. Imo there are more noticable gains with intake and exaust on a diesel. Thats what my experience has been anyway. Those mods are basic that every diesel guy wants done. For some reason a lot never get to the injectors? Just those few things would be enough to be very surprising on the street. With enjectors and a good race tune you could easily be pulling another 350hp if you only went with hundred horse injectors. Thats very noticable . The on the fly tuning is awesome
