I have to stick my face under the van at some point to see what's what. I'm sure there are some major issues and I might not be able to do it but I won't know until I check it out. I might have to do a "custm2500" mod to the frame...
Use lots of wood glue and clamp pieces together while glue is drying. wipe excess up with a damp but not soaked sponge. use a brad nailer. always drill a pilot if you are going to use screws. wood will almost always split when you are within 1.5" from the edge IF you do not drill a pillot.
you can use a countersink bit to make the heads of the screws flush.
you can put 1"x1" in a 90 degree joints to stiffen it up us well.
If you need any help I have a storage full of carpentry/woodworking tools.
also make sure to coat it before it has the chance to get wet.

I'm getting more than a few 90 degree joints tomorrow since I'm also using them to secure the shelves to the van floors and beams. Might just pick up a few more to solidify the structure.
THose contours came out pretty (.)(.). I don't know about the liquid nails. I don't think it will adhere to well to the smooth surface of the mdf. It is typically used for sub flooring with rough pressure treated lumber to adhere to foundations. IDK about the tight bond stuff you got, I never used it.

You can get the wood bed lined, we get it done all the time on the deer stands we build. They're made out of plywood though
I'd say just rattle can it black then put some dark carpet inserts in the shelves to keep the rattling down. Is also add a 2-3" lip on the front of all the shelves so stuff doesn't fly out as easy. You should think about adding a fat power inverter in there somewhere too.

Power inverter will be in the same cabinet as where the fridge is going, that way I can charge my phone and stuff while driving. What's a fat power inverter? Is that slang or a type of inverter?
I'll check it out, if it matches the Rhino-lined floor it might just be worth it and it will also act to prevent things from sliding around in the shelves. I'm not too interested in doing more suede to be honest, this might just be better.

When you do both, screws and brads, it will be very strong. You wouldn't want to put a screw every inch but you can with the nailer. This would help lock things together and give you more shear strength. As atomic stated before, you want to disperse the load. If all the weight on one shelf is centralized on 4 screws that essentially don't bite well because mdf is basically sawdust and glue your shelf might come down. That is of course if you put a lot of weight on it. Puting the brads in every inch or so will disperse the load and keep the joints tight and sealed. I never looked into it or know if it would work with mdf but when I was building decks/framing I would sometimes use ringshank nails. These had a far more superior pullout properties than standard nails.

Too bad they don't get they mileage the sprinter does then I could for sure convince my brother to go halvers on one.
How about a grate or cage, kind like a dig door with 2x2 squares to hold the contents in?

It will match the Rhino-lined floor pretty dam good. I will post a picture of the spray vs Rhino-lined product for you. I will use my bed from a 05 ECSB that is Rhino-lined and the running board from my 47 GMC that is sprayed using duplicolor tomorrow for you.

How much mileage do the sprinter vans get? I saw a few pimped out ones at that shop that installed the walls and bed, I really wanted one but they are too big to be Daily Drivers.
Pics of said doors? I'm still open to all kind of doors, lips, Bungee's, whatever...
Sweet! Gonna look for those pics tomorrow. I'm liking this idea more and more!
