So anyways, Grabbed a 3/16th inch drill bit and checked the clearance between the converter and the flexplate and it was perfect!!!

No shims necessary and at least I know that the converter is fully seated...hopefully!!!

I pulled a spark plug out of the engine so I wouldn't be fighting the compression and used a spare bolt I had laying around and stuck it in the oil pan right beneth the flexplate so I could get some leverage to rotate the flexplate around. I got all three bolts up and into the converter evenly and torqued them down to 44ft/lbs.

I then moved back to the tranny mount and went to put the studs back in annnnndddd...

At that point I was like wtf!?! So I called energy suspension and said hey, I got your tranny mount and it's not lining up with the crossmember. Now these person was a DICK!!! (I think his boyfriend didn't finish him off last night or something) We actually had words!! I explained to him that the stock mount had an offset pattern in order to properly aligned the tailshaft mounting holes to the crossmember and that their mount did not...

He said he was well aware of this and that I didn't need to explain it to him. I was like what's that supposed to mean? He then asked what kinda of vehicle I had and told him it was an 01 silverado and I got part number so and so which was specifically for GM 2WD trucks. He then explained to me that it doesn't fit LS engine trucks and proceeds to tell me that I should of known that before buying it. I ask him how I'm supposed to know that a product that is sold for GM 2WD trucks is not supposed to fit my GM 2WD truck? He starts yapping at me that it's a newer line of trucks that a mount hasn't been developed for them and I need to make and adapter plate yadda yadda yadda and I told him the STFU the LS truck line has been around for 10 years and they should explain it clearly on the box what years it's for. After a lovely exchange of vocabulary I hung up and went about my business! I'm pretty sure they have the right part for our trucks (I'm assuming here) but the guy obviously had a tranny mount stuck up his *** and wasn't in the mood to be helpful!

Got the Old mount back in and if fit like a glove!!!

Figured since I was on a roll I would keep going and see what else I could get accomplished today. Like I said earlier I gave Edelbrock a call and spoke with a techie who was already aware of my problems and told me that my 72lb RC Racing injectors were wider than what their system is/was designed for. So I said whatever and went to work on hacking up the brackets!

Shaved them down a bit so that they would clear and came up with this...

The techie from Edelbrock said that I didn't need to use both bolts on the brackets, that one easily does the trick so I said okey dokey and this is what the fitment looks like now, it looks like the injector touches towards the top but in reality it doesn't, there's a tiny tiny gap so there's no rubbing...

I might take them off again and grind more out of the top just in case and bolt up the second set of bolts as well just for peace of mind. I would hate to have a fuel leak cuz edelbrock didn't think people would use other people's injectors!

This is how she sits now, I'm curious as to how high the injectors sit outside of the manifold but they are definitely in there tight and there's no budging.

Got the driveshaft and the Hoops installed this morning...

I torqued down the U-joint cradle bolts to 19 ft/lbs which seems awfully low for something that is subjected to so much movement...

This look about right as far as the distance between the spindle and tailshaft?

Also pulled the injectors back off the intake and decided I'm gonna sell the 72lbers and get some skinnier ones instead of hoping that the RC racing ones won't leak. Not sure what I'm gonna do just yet as far as injectors, either get small ones or get bigger ones with a driver box...

So here's where I'm gonna start asking lots of dumb questions because the wiring loom is an imposing piece of
First off what's this plug into? Found it on top of the fuel tank unplugged and no where near to plug into...

Same question with this one...it's on the passenger frame rail just aft the engine bay...not much slack to go anywhere and no plugs that I see around it...

Looks great. I'm curious, why didn't you just use the stock trans mount in the first place?

I ordered some dowel pins from summit and figured since I was ordering stuff from them might as well fill the box up with other things that might be better than OEM stuff and pay shipping once. It was like 12-15 bucks or something and the OEM tranny mount is getting a little old so I figured this would be the best time to change it out. Didn't work out that way I guess!
