Just get longer bolts and use your impact to drive everything together.

Here's the problem, u have somebody stuck 7/16" inside the tranny.
Were some of those friends the hot neighbors? If you'd ever post up some pics of them, I could prolly offer better help.

Really now, no wiring harness or anything pinched somewhere that may've been overlooked? BTW, the pan looks pretty sorry lookin, between the smashed spots & the "RTV" work.

I guess that's a possibility...

Never really looked at them that closely, aren't they reversible?

That is a little strange where the trans mount is sitting on the crossmemener. Can you turn it around the other way to move the stud back toward the rear of the truck?
I'll give that a shot but I don't know if the bolts are offset that much on that mount. I think they are more or less centered but I could be wrong...will check it out!!

I don't think so but I'll have to check again, and that pan doesn't have many dents on it, I think it's the design of it. I'll try and get a better shot of it at some point but if the pan is totally trashed I might have to get a new one.

I think I remeber some one saying they had similar trouble with having the frame mounts back wards. there is a motor mount on the block and then a frame mount. I think The frame mount might be the one thats back wards. I think the actual motor mount is reversible but not the frame mount.

Something to look at any way...

I wasn't sure on the dents, if part of design, since I only knew the basic pan shape. New pans that hold additional fluid are an $$ option, the nice versions are IIRC, I'm thinkin ~$150. More capacity usu. 2 or 3 QTS, often thicker, & drain fittings.

K, I never took the motor/frame mounts apart, they are still one piece with the original rubber bushing inbetween. I will take a closer look at them and worst case scenario I will lift the engine up and swap them if need be.
Fun fun fun fun!!!

The curious thing is that all the bolts lined up on the frame mount bolts so if they aren't reversible I wonder why all the bolts still lined up. Something to look at anyways.

If I do swap them it won't be until I get these bigger issues sorted out.

I think I figured it out, Ordered a new transmission mount, dowel pins and couple other things from Summit today. Will post pictures later tonight when I come back up from the garage.
Bring me your parts truck so I can go through it and tear what I need out of it!!
