I can buy it all day long here. Strangely there has been a guy on craigslist selling it cheap lately. Name brand stuff to boot.

 

I know, kinda threw me for a loop as well. I went to Autozone, Kragen Auto parts, two different Pepboys and none of them carried actual Dextron III. They had Dextron VI, Mercon, Mercon V, they had stuff to be used in vehicles used to DextronIII/mercon but nothing that actually was Dextron III.
Kinda weird IMO but whatever, I bought the closest thing I could find to it, I'll post what it is later next time I go into the garage.

 

I feel your pain on running to the parts stor 50 times in a day. At least I can usually knock out some of that crap while I'm at work.

Hell I had to go to the dealer 3 times since friday to get a new dipstick tube.

 

LOL, that's funny but I have a feeling that ****'s gonna happen to me too!!

 

Here's the ATF I bought, it was the closest thing I could get to Dextron III but it still isn't the exact stuff.







Unless anyone who knows a thing or two about ATF has any complaints this is what I'm throwing in!

 

AALLLSSOOOOOOOO...stopped by our good friend Richard @ WCCH's today and he gave me a present (I did pay for it btw)









Pretty excited about it. It's replacing the "Vic Jr. + elbow + adapter plate" I had previously. I think I'm giving up a little low end with this but nothing a small shot couldn't fix and with the new cam, lighter truck the jury is still out on how much low end torque I really have at the moment anyways.


I threw it on the engine so I can share a little engine **** with you guys!!







I threw it back on the shelf afterwards and threw the FPR next to it and as soon as I saw it I knew I was gonna match these two colors together in the engine bay. It's not ground breaking by any means but I think it's got a nice clean look to it...

By itself, that intake looks nice, the powdered valve covers really tie it all together.
