so now the question I have is, what is the critical measurement I need to pay attention to?

is it the difference between the rear driveshaft and pinion? or is it the difference between the tranny angle and pinion angle? or all three?

at least I know my starting measurements where I experienced zero problems.....

So this is a little bit off topic but, why do some trucks get a 2pc setup and some get a single setup? Which trucks? My Dad's Dmax ECLB has a one piece MONSTER aluminum shaft.

I was thinking you altered your suspension. Dammit!
So you have roughly 5* of pinion angle I assume. Are these negative *'s or positive? How do you know?
That's subtracting your actual pinion (diff nose) and your driveshaft angle going into the differential. I thought that's how you measured it.
Anyone else on how to get a pinion angle?

according to my measurements I have +3deg pinion or nose up (93deg)

and my rear driveshaft is 98deg

93deg(pinion) - 98deg(driveshaft) = -5deg

is this correct?

I thought you subtracted the 8* driveshaft angle and the 3* diff angle. I mean, just measuring the actual diff noses angle will not get you the proper pinion angle in relation to the driveshaft's angle. If that truck was lifted, then the drive shaft angle would be quite a few more degrees. The diff's angle would still be at 3*.
So, with that example, the actual way to get a proper pinion "angle" you would need to be subtracting something in relation to the actual diff nose angle.
Am I right?

I actually ment to put 5*. It being neg or positive is what I'd like to know as well.

yes, as I understand it, you subtract the driveshaft angle from the pinion angle. In my case 93deg - 98deg or +3* - +8*
