here's a quick progress pic:




I'm not sure what it is, but it seems to be missing something visually.....

another thing I noticed is the stainless ARP hardware almost disappears against the polished aluminum, I like that

I think its the dull appearance of the heads and valve covers that detract from the overall look but you dont really notice it unless you look hard. I guess its just because with all the polishing I expect it all to be bright and shiny.

yeah, I think the valve covers are going to be a big visual impact point......that said, it really depends on what angle your looking at the engine bay; from the top, it really minimizes the amount of polish on the truck(kinda why I chose that angle), from the side or front it's more noticeable.

i think it looks bitchen bro.... have you looked at the gm performance catalog?? they have a few different sets of ls valve covers.... at a reasonable price

Looks sooooo sick . I think the valve covers and alt. will tie everything together under the hood. But for the mean time get that thing running, it looks sick and I am sure it will run as good as it looks. All that time and money is really showing, you did a great job .
