I think I'm going to go with a semi polished blower setup. I'm thinking I'll get the complete J-Tube polished and then all the ribs and raised surfaces of the blower unit itself, thoughts?

I'm in the process of building a normally aspirated 408 for my truck. It will be no where as exotic as your build.

Thanks Steve

Thanks,

This week has consisted of several calls/emails between myself and ARP to figure out a solution to my flexplate issue. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I wanted to be 100% confident in my setups strength. The final recommendation from ARP was to use some of their double disc ground hardened washers.

If I don't go polished I am going with the crinkle finish

If you get the current Hot Rod magazine, Jerry Magnusons blown ford flathead truck is in there, I got the polished idea from those pics, let me know what you think?

he did his a little different though, started with a polished blower, taped it off and bead blasted it, looks awesome!

Black crinkle with polished ribs will look great. Be sure to follow the instructions on the paint can to the letter for the best wrinkled look. Do it now while the weather is warm. The paint likes warmer temps when applied.

Can't wait to see the pics.

finally got the flexplate issue handled, Thanks Richard

FYI, ARP has a "new" part number, not in their catalog yet for full thread flexplate bolts. You can see the difference in the pics below:
