I used the SLP pump so I could run a double roller in my 408. Didn't have to clearance the pump or the timing cover. A lot of guys are making big power on a single chain so don't worry about it

Yeah I see quite a few with singles. I feel confident with it, especially since its mostly about the harmonics and the dampner should help quite a bit with that.

Anyone have any ideas what rear end I should go with? Still thinking about buying a 14 bolt and running with that. Although there is a bit of a weight difference over the 10 bolt as well as cost of building the 10 to handle a whoopin'.

Wow sometimes life really takes a dip now and again, but I am determined to get this project finished... ha ha!

Finally got the engine and transmission mated together after some issues with the TC and Flexplate not snugging up, thanks again Chris for helping solve the problem.

Much easier with the front end off! Did a lot of painting to tidy the engine bay up a bit.

Anyways here she sits. I started the install today and just have to get the crossmember fitted to the trans. Will try and get more done this week, starting with the harness, and get back to posting more pics.

Been busy adding all of the accessories: water pump, ps pump, starter, and etc. Finally starting to look like a complete engine. Next I will add the exh. manifolds, crossover, turbo, and down pipe. Picked up a harness from PSI Performance (great guy to deal with BTW)!

It's been a blessing having the front end off!

A little off topic, but I have used many methods for removing stubborn studs/bolts and I highly recommend this nifty tool from Titan Tools.

Hey thanks for the offer! Something not right about my wife and 12 yr old son helping me push the engine and trans in the engine bay, but it does build character lol

I am most likely going to find a 14 bolt. They come cheap here in town and are plentiful.

Got the pipes and turbo mocked up today. These are used pipes I bought from a member here and everything fits pretty well. Need to rewrap the pipes and bolt everything up. Need to build something to brace the turbo a lil better because those thing is DAMN HEAVY! Getting close....

What are most of you guys doing for turbo supports, buying something pre made or fabbing them yourselves?

Me and you are racing when you get this thing done Should be a super fun truck. I've seen a lot of guys build supports off of the heads but their turbos were a lot closer to the engine then yours is.
