Went got the block yesterday, got the block cleaned and washed for final assembly. I always do that part by hand in hopes to get every last bit of honing grit out. Then blew everything out with compressed air, and gave it an oil bath in wd40. Removed all the main caps and blew everything out. Then wiped everything down. I then coated the cam in Lucas for and oil film and installed the crank and degrees the cam. Cam in on a 110.7icl so had another couple degrees advance than I hoped. But I'm using stock timing set with an ls2 chain... Oh well. Now I'm just waiting on rings to show and I'll keep going.

Rings showed.. So I gapped em at a conservative .028" top and second rings and .015" on the oil rails. Running a set of total seal ap stainless top, Napier second and a 14lb tension oil ring for oil control. Also got half the Pistons installed gonna start mock up of the top end tomorrow. And hopefully set it back in the truck..

Checked for pushrod length gonna take an 8.0" pushrod, and gonna have to have a set of spacers made between the rocker pedestals that came with the rockers about .125" thick to get the geometry right. This is without the spacers.. Make sure you guys check this stuff this pattern can wipe out guides pretty quick. Contact doesn't change if spin motor over stays in about the same spot. Gonna call trick flow in the morning.. See what they have to say..

Yep I think it's looking good so far.. Trying to figure out what to do with my coils and stuff.. May just buy the covers and mount em on the valve covers. I dunno I'm getting tired of working on it lol.. May save that project for another day!
