Are you thinking more of a half round shape? Maybe larger so there is some of a high pressure zone underneath the i/c so the top of it is more evenly used? If I understood correctly?

On the right.

It will create higher pressure in the center of the IC below it causing a path of less resistance around the outside. It will force the blower to use the entire intercooler rather than what is just below the blower output.

That’s what I had pictured in my head of what you were talking about. Makes a lot of sense.....In a way it’s kinda like holding your thumb over the end of the hose.

Looks round to me?

If you mean the ribs, its probably for reinforcement so it doesnt bend.

Yeah that makes sense now...I was thinking it had something to do with airflow but that makes sense at the boost levels those guys are running.
