Looks like a polished mirror but when you magnify it just 40x you see this. You can see the main direction of the grinding along with gouges in random directions.

I call it the large laminar airflow maximizing agitator (LLAMA) pulls more airflow onto the long side by kicking out the air opposite the short side. Also increase the opening size of of bellmouth on top to increase airspeed on the smaller bottom that sees more turbulence by pulling more air in Venturi style. Also the air on top has more of a straight shot down into the cylinder and helps “curve” the air on the bottom past the backside of the port which keeps it from slamming into the wall and making turbulence.

The journey is more important than the destitnation..... but seriously I just recently got the settlement with FedEx squared away and received the new supercharger from Whipple. So with that I just started back tinkering around after taking some time off. I’d like to be driving it before this time next year but no serious deadlines for me

Thats cool.

2 things... I think a sharp edge wont work as well as you think. Look at the LSA lid. A gentle curve accomplishes two things... it deflects air in the direction you want while making the clearance under the intercooler in specific spots tighter creating "high pressure" zones essentially forcing the blower to use more of the intercooler evenly.
