I don't see how anything is going to hurt power or cause it all of a sudden blow up but maybe something doesn't break in the way it should and over time causes something to fail sooner than it should. Although that's a risk with anything. I'd be curious if any of the nascar engine builders do any of this stuff. If there was any "free" horsepower out there through coatings or dimple in this or that, I'm sure they would have already been all over that.

I have no money so I've been messing around with stuff I probably shouldn't but what the heck....rounding off sharp edges on spark plug strap and on the body. I plan to index them and I might try a side gapping a set and see how they do.

What was that in? RWHP? I'd like to know more about that combo.

The 986hp is flywheel and built by Wegner Motorsports. I forgot about the Borowski built 427LS Whipple 2.9 making 1,010hpon pump gas. He also has a few other Whipple 2.9s making around and slightly over 1000hp. Some with Dart Pro LS3 heads, All Pro LS3s, and even GM LS3s. I had forgotten about them until I looked at my notes this evening. I'll be waiting for the new front feed 4.5L to come out (if they ever do)

The strap of the spark plug has the tip projecting down a bit for a reason, it appears you sanded that off.

Yeah the corners of the ground strap were pointed down like a upside down "U". I rounded the top side and made the bottom side sharper. Like a 45* chamfer of the side and filed the face back a little and flat with sharp bottom and rounded tops.

Yeah it's getting to the point no matter what your numbers are it's going to be hard to differentiation what may have helped you and what many have hurt you.

NGK are cheap plugs anyways if they end up sucking....if it's down on power then I'll get a slightly more radical cam haha. I got a two piece timing cover just for that.

What are the current cams specs? What pcm operating system do you plan to use.
