That's the exact setup I am running. Dremel the bottom of the bucket flat and open up the filter hole a bit and it drops in just like stock.

Also, you need to change your electrical bulkhead to the updated style. The one you have only has about half the current capacity.

Is the only other option really just a sumped cell and external pump??
I don't see why it would be a reliability issue when only one of the pumps will run all the time. The second pump will only come on in boost.

Any pics or links to an updated bulkhead?

Are you adding the second pump to your bucket anytime soon? I'd like to see how you do it. What did you use to hold the single 450 in your bucket?

Will your second switch be controlled by a flip switch or do you have another design in mind for how it knows to turn on and off?

You set it up on a Hobbs switch so that it is turned on at a set amount of boost.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get the silencer ring off of the turbo. I thought there were some tiny allen screws on the outside of the intake but they aren't Allen's. Anyone taken the ring out on these Borg Warner's?

Tonight I put the truck on the lift to finish a few things up. As you can see in the pic, my inner cooler has been hanging by the top mounts since I got it running. I always felt like it was going to shear off so I bent some L brackets and bolted the bottom in place. It's not going anywhere now. I also took the cold pipes off of the truck for some paint. You could see them through the front bumper and it looked shitty being aluminum. I haven't worked on the fuel pumps yet but I will get there.

I see a lot of the NBS intercooler piping going down under the skid plate area instead of between the headlight and radiator. Is this an easier routing setup or just cause of the intercooler setup?

why would you want to take the silencer ring off? it helps direct air flow into the compressor

Rick would have to chime in and let you know why he sets it up this way. I upgraded to a 4" core so I don't know if the 3" core is routed differently.

I'd really like to hear the turbo a bit more. When I was running an open downpipe, the turbo was loud as hell. Once I put a muffler on the truck, the turbo went silent. I've never seen any proof that removing the silencer hurts power so I thought I would give it a shot
