I don't have any pictures of the cluster build. Once I get working, I always forget to take pics. I did it a while back when I had the carb'd 383 in it. It's probably one of my favorite parts of the truck

I used to work at a Casino sign business here in Vegas when I was 16. I took a piece of black plexi glass from the material room and simply traced the stock cluster on it. That way I could use the stock mounting locations and it fits snug. Then I took apart the stock cluster and cut the plastic separators out of it. So basically it just sits on top of the plex bolts up like stock. Pretty strait forward installation. The illumination dimmer works with the gauges like it should. I think it took me about 5 days working on it at night after work. It could easily be done in a weekend.

Got the gauges wired, mounted, and working. Just need to get wire loom sometime soon to hide the signal wires in the engine bay. I don't have a nitrous system yet but hopefully that comes next

Here you can see a close up of how I built the cluster. Stock plastic cover stacked on top of 1/4" plex.

Thanks boys. Yea I figured I should get a thread going.

I still haven't installed the Mamo Intake. That is probably next on my to-do list. I'm hoping for a 25rwhp increase over the stock LS3 intake.

So I need to put gears back in my truck. I don't need it for highway driving anymore since I bought a little daily driver. Right now the truck has 30" tires and 3.42's in it. Lets just say that combo sucks horribly with the 9.5" converter.

I had 4.10's in it before college but I can't find them now. Would 4.56's be too much gear with 450rwhp and a 30" tire? I don't want to have to lock the converter going down the track

Any cam gurus in here?? I spec'd myself a cam and wanted to get everyones thoughts on it. I will be adding the trickflow 255 LS3 heads here soon and will be replacing the cam and intake along with it. Heads flow 382cfm @ .700 intake and 258cfm @ .700 exhaust.

While I'm doing the rebuild, I will be upping the scr to almost 11.5:1. I will also be using 1.8 rockers to take advantage of the flow numbers these heads produce at high lift. I wanted the cam to be perfect for N/A power and work well at the track on nitrous. The cam I spec'd is the following:

Intake: 239 @ .050 LSL lobe w/ .661 lift
Exhaust: 250 @ .050 LXL lobe w/ .652 lift
114 LSA
110 ICL
16.5* overlap
8.55:1 DCR

The IVC is at 49.5* ABDC. That should push the peak power to be around 6400-6500. I figured that would complement the ported FAST as well. Do I have too much split in this cam or should it be good for N/A and nitrous driving?

I'm no cam guy, but I'd run something along that duration/lift all day long. Should make some nice power on or off the spray.

I must've missed it, but what rear end do you have where 4.10s are hard to find? I'd try Ron's machine shop. Traction is going to hard enough with 4.10s. I wouldn't go lower than that, for a street truck anyway.

No, I mean that I misplaced the 4.10s that I took out of my truck. I will have to order a new set. I think I will go with 4.30's but I'm still not sure. If I was running the 700r4 still or a 4l60e, I would definitely go with 4.10s since it has such a low first gear. But I think I can get away with 4.30's with the 4L80e. At this point I guess I'm just splitting hairs.

I need your guys opinion on my CAI I'm putting together. I bought a 90* silicone bend but it doesn't stick out far enough to clear the belt tensioner. Here are some pics:

So I found a 4.5" to 4" strait reducer that gives me the extra clearance needed. This truck is N/A so I'm thinking I can slip the reducer over the 90* bend and it will work fine..? Do you guys think it will leak at all?
