I don't see that CAI causing you any issues as long as the clamps are tight.

BTW Great looking truck and clean build man!

Thanks man! The only problem is since they are soft silicone, the clamps can't be tight on the 4.5"-4" reducer. In the pic, I just snugged it up so it wouldn't cave in the silicone. So I don't know if it will shoot off when the throttle is shut real fast or not. The truck won't see any boost with this CAI so it shouldn't push itself out of the reducer.

Get a 2-3" section of 4" pipe to put inside the inner coupler. They will probably move around eventually if you dont have the clamp tight.

I ended up just using the plastic 90*. It is bulky but will never pop off. Should move a bit more air than my little AFE kit. Just waiting on the MAF flange to show up and I will get everything installed.

MAF mounted in spare pipe. Pretty clean if you ask me. Will look good with paint

I'm going to start tearing the engine down today. New heads and intake should be on within the next few weeks. I'm pretty excited to say the least

Badass man. At times I wish I had stayed N/A with a big cube engine. Can't beat the simplicity and reliability.

I'm going to start posting up here quite a bit more. I started tearing down my truck the past couple days. Time for a rebuild and some more N/A HORSEPOWER. I've pretty much got everything out of the way and ready to pull except the cooling system. I need to drain the coolant, pull the water pump, fans, and hoses, and then drop the trans. I need to get a 4' extension to get the bellhousing bolts since I can't seem to find mine anywhere. But anyway, I've made some good progress. I also got a bit sidetracked and put together my intake. I put the map sensor in the back of the manifold and i'm still going to use the stock LS3 rails and injectors. Here are some pics of where I'm at

You should be able to reach the bellhousing bolts from the top since you took the intake off.
