its not true 85% ethanol
when i was tuning it i knew my part throttle fuel trims were 1-2% error when i was running regular gas.
so i ran the tank as low as i could and filled up with e85 then i just kept bumping my stoich down until my fuel trims were back to the 1-2%
and then i tuned WOT

I've always wanted to add an ethanol sensor to my truck and I might get that done soon. I'm thinking I can just plumb it into the return line and run wires back to the pcm. I haven't found anyone who has done it so I really didnt want to buy the sensor because of the price. But I think it will be beneficial at this point in my build.

Since you've got an 03 with the newer PCM I'm pretty sure you could use a factory flex fuel sensor. The sensor can be had pretty cheaply off ebay used. I would have considered one but there's really no good way to get it to work with the 01-02 operating system. And the aftermarket sensors I've looked at that go on the return line have tiny little openings which I wouldn't want restricting flow.
So, I just use a manual ethanol content tester. I only get E from one station and in the summer it comes out to around 82% ethanol, which is true E85. If you tune for that ethanol percentage and you get a tank of 70% it's not really a big deal at all. You'll be richer and anything from about E50 to E85 has essentially the same knock resistance.

I just found a thread where Dsteck added a content sensor but it was a thread for the newer E40 pcm's. The sensor he used is part number 13577429 and I think it is from a newer cobalt. Not sure if it will work but it will be worth a shot over the $300 stock sensor from my year truck. I don't know if my harness has a plug for the sensor or if I will just run the wires strait to the pcm. We will see when I start digging into it.

Well I went ahead and filled the truck up with corn juice a couple hours ago. It really does feel like a whole different truck. I put 20 1/2 gallons in so I'm guessing it is around E50-E70. I can't believe how much more power it has. I looked at the log on the way home and never got above 65% tps. Tomorrow I'm going to drive the **** out of the truck

So I've been running 13 degrees of timing with pump 91. The tune seems to be good with E85 so I'm going to up the timing 1-2* and see how she likes it. I made a couple pulls today and my IDC is already at 75% with these FIC 850cc injectors.. I just bought these damn things.
Looks like after the holidays, I will get a double walbro 450 set up in the truck and then be limited by the injectors. I hope I can get 650rwhp out of them before having to swap for something bigger. In the end, I think E85 is the right choice for this truck anyway.
What injectors are you E85 turbo guys running?

The injectors will depend on your fuel pressure. It's a balance between flow from the fuel pumps versus injector flow. I've been seeing mid 70s IDCs on my FIC 1000s with E48. However, I know Smokeshow made 900+ rwhp on E48 on the FIC 1000s. Obviously they wont go that far on E85.
I'm probably going to go back to full E85 myself and add another 450. I just checked ebay recently and the darn things are now going for $138! They were $178 when I bought mine.
I want to get a little ballsy with the timing because I dont really feel like I'm taking advantage of the E85. At the same time I don't want to blow the motor, but who here hasn't when pushing things.

My injectors are 71# at 4bar. I'm going to get as much as I can out of them.
