Default NNBS 4L80e swap

So it begins... Going to pick up the transmission today, possibly a crossmember too, provided it fits. I searched high and low among people I know, and people they know who were willing to build up an 80e, but they either didn't want to do the work because of the application, or because it would be an insanely expensive job.

SO - the 4L80e will get nothing but a shift kit for now, and a proper tune of course.

Questions, or opinions... Does the crossmember from earlier trucks, like GMT800 and older mount up to GMT900s? I do know they are using box frames now, but I can't see why they might have changed anything dimension wise.
Also, I am considering using the stock 80e converter since it comes with the transmission. At least until I put the bigger motor in, at which point I will replace it with a multi-disk from circle-d.

And of course, there will be pictures More to come later!

53RUSSELL is selling one, he lives just a few minutes from where I'm getting my transmission. I'm thinking about picking it up. Just want to make sure it fits first. The crossmember is from an earlier model truck, but I'm not sure if the frame was changed over the years.

Dragged the 80e out of there in a Geo Metro. haha

Also just snagged that crossmember from 53RUSSELL while I was up in Phoenix, hope it fits!

Will probably be pulling the 60e in the morning, 80e will go in next weekend (assuming all goes as planned) and the driveshaft will be specced out as well. Lot of work to do...
