Well when i had people to goto the track i use to race all the time, but look what happened to most of the guys in DFW and our local K-dale track turned into a retarded version of the movie "Biker Boyz".......

Well the last time I went to K dale the racing sucked. So i wont be going back. Northstar is nice but its in denton and dallas raceway is an hour away. So i imagine that track days will be rare

Sounds like a nice combo for sure Corey...about the LS7 lifters, there was a thread on here a while back with pics showing that the cup on the LS7 lifter is taller than the original LS lifters, so if anything, it would require a shorter pushrod (not taking the cam base circle into account). But, as mentioned, they are the "new" stock replacement and have some room to play for preload range. There's a lifter preload thread in the sticky section of the Internal Engine Mod section that has some good info that you may like

The actual LS7 lifters are the same length as the stock lifters.

HOWEVER, the seats on the LS7 are slightly taller so shorter PR's will be needed. Some guys luck out and run the 7.4's but since those heads are different idk for sure what size you'll need.

I'm using 7.375 pushrods with my gt2-3 and ls7 lifters with stock heads and head gaskets thickness and they're are correct as checked with a pr length tool and running .06 preload...

My motor has .050 play under the rockers, Alexes had bout .060-.100 under his ..

its tight but at idle and low cruise its still got plunge and under a load it kinda turns into a solid roller Cheap trick i was taught by my head guy......

my setup is ls7 lifters,stock gaskets, heads decked .030, 7.4 pr's
