My 2007 Silverado Build...again

LOL I'm glutton for punishment I guess. I have a goal so I have to see this though. It'll be longer than a month before I "give up" on this deal
Lots to learn again but it will be fun. At this point, I just want to drive my truck again. Coming up on 4 months since the 5.3 let go. It's a sad sight. The truck is extremely dirty, up on jack stands, no hood, no front wheels anda barn full of parts that I'm probably going to lose if I don't get started putting it back together soon lol

Scruggs Fabrication and Engine Works sent me a few pics of some progress today.
New Manley stainless steel valves.

Assembled with Brian Tooley dual valve springs with titanium locks and retainers

Head studs in

Gotta work tomorrow evening but will hopefully make it over there to deliver the covers and other parts needed to button up the long block. Then measure for pushrods. Still need upgrade to rockers with the COMP trunion kit also. I assume Tyler is leaving that for me LOL
Finally sold my meth kit and injectors so I ordered my new injectors today. Trying to sell some other unused parts so I can buy a pump more suited to the power I'd like to make. A1000 just not going to get me far on E85 I don't think.
I hate to even think about the list of stuff still to do before I can even fire it up.
Finish motor
Set it back in the truck
Install new turbo kit and turbo
Adapt new turbo to old cold pipes
Mount new trans cooler
The big one...Wire the fuel injection. Shouldn't be too hard, but still, it's wiring.
Also, still waiting on the hubs and rotors to get back from Moser. A replacement set since UPS lost my factory ones. How do you lose an 80# box? ****** ********.
I wanted to drive the truck again before the year was over, but it's not lookin good. Gettin dark really early which doesn't really matter since I work in the evening, but its gonna start gettin pretty cold in the mornings when I do work on it so progress will probably be slow. There's a race coming up that I really wanted to go to but getting the truck ready would be a rush job and I just don't want to chance it. I got to make a pass in Tyler's 10 second truck so that I guess that will hold me over until mine is finished LOL

Well the cross member I bought won't work. So I had to take mine to a local chassis shop and he did the standard chop and extend. It turned out amazing. Mickey at Mickeys Chassis Works does great work. Can't thank him enough
The trans is in. Not ready yet but will finish it up tomorrow.

I cut the ends off with a sawzall, bolted the middle section to the tail shaft and the ends to the frame and then measured for how long of plates I would need. Then I took it all to Mickey's Chassis Works in Moore to weld it all up.

I see you went with the FTI, how would you rank that with the others? I have been leaning to the Yank PT 4l80MD 2800 vert.
That would be nice, I'd like to do that too but I cant do **** with metal hardly lol

. I f'ing love wiring too. I'm a rare breed
