Whoops, Almost forgot about this thread. So...
Didn't have very much luck with my 4L80E. When I had the truck up in the air I had all forward gears and reverse. Once I got the truck back down on the ground I found that I was loosing line pressure in reverse (and later realized it was in all gears) Got the truck back up in the air and dropped the trans pan. Found the TCC Valve laying in the pan. Got the valve back in it's bore with a new snap ring and thought I was all good. But after getting the truck back down the problem was still there. So I spent the next couple weeks doing online research, replacing valve body gaskets, separator plates, double checking all check *****, and electrical components. All to no avail.
Jumped on Craigslist and found another 4L80E and got it installed. No problems with this unit. Got the truck back on it's wheels and test drove it. Besides shifting kinda soft no problems.
I was finally able to get the truck aligned and put some miles on it. So far so good.
I haven't taken the first transmission apart yet but I'm suspecting a damaged case. This was a core transmission after all.
Just tweaking on the tune now. I want to get LT's back in the truck but I'm trying to sell my Bassani Headers to do so.
Here's a few pics of the truck now:

Swapped back to the stock boost valve and nothing changed. I've done everything short of completely disassembling it again. Swapped everything I could without starting over. I'm in the process of cleaning up the garage and moving stuff around. Once I have space again I'll start over.
