Default level 7 4L65E COST

Chuck, Just out of curiosity what would a level 7 FLT 4L65E cost built exactly like the one in your "test vehicle"?

Bro, you'll go through some tires with that baby...very sweet! Do you know what's the max boost the Jackshaft can produce?

do not run a tvs2300 jackshaft sc overdriven with a 2.8 pulley or low you will over spin the tvs2300 and destroy it , I know trust me.....

Here's the link to our level-7 build which is the same trans in Ed's truck, minus the gear set & trans brake options. The only piece he's missing currently is the new billet pump rotor, which I plan on installing this season.

Finish Line Transmissions | Performance Transmissions | Torque Converters | Transmission Parts | Transmission Service

7k for a transmission ? let alone a 65e lol... ill stick with my $300 junk yard pull out 80e with a shift kit lol. also, who has the fastest silverado with a 2300? is there one even into the 10's? i thought those jack shafts break after a certain point?

I talked about this in my other build thread - There's no way in hell I would ever slap some POS junkyard trans. into my like new beauty...it just turned over 30k miles. If I had 150k on it, that would be another story, but to each his own I guess lol

What makes a junkyard trans a POS? Just the fact it was taken from a junkyard or what?

you dont think the cores that flt or who ever the transmission builder is dont come from junkyard/salvage yard or a donor trucks ? the trans i got i pulled from a 2005 cc silverado for 350 bucks and came with a 4x4 transfer case . and then sold the transfer case for 250 and took the trans to my builder along with a shift kit where he torn the whole unit down , hot washed it , installed the shift kit after checking everything in the unit to make sure it was good he then painted it all for $200 so at the end of the day i paid 300 bucks plus 100 for shift kit and have a brand new trans that i have beat on for the last 4+ years on high boost. but like you said to each his own i guess.
