I bought some traction bars from a guy so that should help somewhat....still need to find a front dshaft that will work.

I forgot to add as soon as I get my trans picked up I am shipping my dshaft off, even before I have measurements, to be shortened so I will have as little downtime as possible so hopefully when I get it back I can just throw it in and go driving around, but best estimate is going to be at least a week from the time I ship it off from when I get it back.

You don't have a local shop that can shorten your drive shaft? I can send mine out in the morn and have it back in the truck after lunch! Fleetpride is one local company and I know they are nation wide.

Who was it here that had a local shop try to shorten his driveshaft and ended up with a mangled mess? I dont want a repeat of that... and places around here wont touch aluminum, only steel. Its really worth my piece of mind to send it back to Texas driveshaft specialist and have them do it since they made it.

Isn't there a place in muscle shoals that will do it and high speed balance the shaft?

I dont know? But like I said, I really dont trust anyone local to do it with it being aluminum and not steel.

Got the engine started today, ran into several issues like how the heads of the torque converter bolts need to be ground to not hit the rear cover bolts using the tci flexplate

Also, that little coolant blockoff thing on the back of the passenger head is leaking pretty fast, call it a fast drip, so I am about to pull the intake to see whats going on.

...and btw, you know how new oil is almost transparent? Well it really scared the **** out of me when I looked on the dipstick and didnt see any oil
