Well, it's done. He pulled an all nighter at my house and its in and running. I left him working on it at 11 pm last night, and when I woke up this morning to do homework, he was still working on it lol. 24+ hours straight of working on his truck. He's still sleeping right now, but I'll let him post pictures.

Yeah its in and running. Runs great, just getting a few heat cycles on the new springs before I really get into it. Idle is just a little bit lopey, but cruising sounds quieter now, which is good. Didn't get a whole lot of pics of the swap. Mainly the ones I already posted. The engine looks identical to the 5.3 minus the 6.0 in the casting, and the engine bay hasn't changed at all. So theres not a lot to photograph

Did your truck used to be gray or silver? I don't understand painting the engine blue if the engine compartment isn't blue.

The truck has always been blue. It's factory paint.

Why is the engine compartment silver?

It isn't. Are you looking at the firewall? Thats the flame retarding fabric back there. I'm sure the paint behind it is blue lol.

Well then you should have covered the engine block in flame retarding fabric to match.
