Welp I guess I should make one of these things on here, got one on the ponitac board for my car.
Back in late late april found this thing on craiglist for a really good deal in my eyes. I was torn between buying a 07-11 police crown vic and making that sound cool and lowering it or getting something else with a V8. Though I've never owned a vortec before this truck, I knew the platform somewhat and see most of the common issue's with them at my work.
So here it is, a 2006 GMC Sierra 2wd with the 5.3, 4L60e, G80, 3.73's etc etc. Has crank windows and manual locks but has the factory CD player radio and fold down center console thingy. Even came with a used tranny with 90k less miles on it with warranty. Bought it for $3,000 cash.
Day I bought it.

I already knew my plans for the truck once I got it home and started to order some parts here and there and waited for everything to arrive. Between work and me being lazy and what not, things get spaced out over time.
Started off by ordering a Vette servo, 2in drop spindles, rear hanger and shackles and drop shocks. Also got some roll on bed liner, sure they dont get the best reviews but it will work for me as I rarely haul **** around and don't care if it fades and what not. It's far better than a white bed.
Parts coming in.

Yanking the bug deflector off, color matching the front end, and putting on some different wheels would really set the truck off nice. Sounds like a nice base for a project truck.

Not any picture of this, but I did new TR5 spark plugs, new plug wires, cleaned the MAF. Did a motor flush with tranny fluid and then new oil and filter.
Vette servo pictures.

Taken apart.

Put together.

I own HP Tuners aswell and started tuning it, that vette servo makes things feel like 5x better and lightly adjusting the shift times and pressure helps alot too.

Found some wheels off ebay from LKQ for only 300 plus shipping. One had some rash on the lip but I didnt care at all. I got 2 free tires from work and found 2 more nice tires for 80 bucks.
Rolling around on 20x8.5 2007 Silverado LTZ rims with 275/55/20's Bridgestone Dueler Alzenza tires.

With 2in rear drop

And random mileage picture.

Did the front drop 2 weeks ago.
2in drop spindles, 2 new wheel bearings, 2 front shocks, new power steering rack and high pressure hose. Did new front brakes the month prior. And fresh alignment done myself at work.

So it's at a 2/2 drop. With 3 finger gap on front tires.
