i think i have a aeromotive 13129 regulator and mine bleeds off pressure fast when pump is not running. if i key on it primes for a few seconds and if i dont crank it at the right moment it will have to re-prime it while cranking. it is weird that yours use to hold pressure and then doesnt? i have read online that the model i have is not designed to hold the pressure so i believe it is normal for what i have

This dude knows what the **** is up. Very good advise.....anit-seize or not.

I used to demand all my builds have stainless hardware cause it looks good.....now I typically won't buy the **** for that very reason.

Nice post.

Well found my problem after the new diaphragm for the regulator didnt work. The only place left to look was in the tank. I am just not having good luck with hoses lately it seems.

This does explain the shower head I was hearing in the tank though.

The hose managed to split in 2 places at the same time. This is the nice $20/ft hose. The one right beside it looks perfectly fine so not sure what happened. Best I can figure when I took the feed hose end off the bulkhead it rotated it and tore it open. Mustve been about to fail anyway if thats what did it in.

Oh well, new hose should be here Thursday and I can finally put the bed back on.

Yep, the fancy gates hose. The one right next to it looks perfect.

I would if I could. That style is not very forgiving for barb sizes. I have tried it before but could not get it seated to the pump, even heating it. I measured the hose barb at 9mm, and they offer 8mm and 10mm hoses and neither work obviously.

To elaborate more, I think I know what happened. When I built the dual pump assembly I built it on the bench obviously so everything was extended. When installed in the tank I am guessing it had to compress which forced the failed 3" hose to twist slightly. Fine for years, but when my main feed line failed and I took the hose end off, I think I twisted the bulkhead some (not much), but enough to tear the hose near the barbs. I didnt take it out to look at it while replacing the main line, so here we are.
