You have room to turn the socket down on the lathe to make this easier for your self?

I dont have a lathe but I did take 1/4" off the diameter of the holes on the top manifold with a big step bit so I could get the socket in there. It is sealed with an oring around the perimeter and there is plenty of room left to that so it will still seal fine.

The threads on the intercooler are -8an oring, but they drilled them out to -10an diameter so even though the fitting is -8 to -10 it is -10 diameter all the way through. I dont think I will be able to do this with the -12 fittings (drill out the -8an side) because the threads will be too thin.

While you have the IC apart, could you do me favor and see how it is divided for dual pass? Your core looks very similar to mine but the in/out are on the horizontal suggesting a left/right separation on a single core rather than a top/bottom on two separate cores.

Sure, pretty sure it is left/right but will double check tonight. I have one of those tiny borescope cameras that you hook up to your phone and have been needing something to use it on

What fittings are on your heater hoses? Are they just home depot style brass fittings from the plumbing section? I found some for PEX water line that seem to be perfect, just curious what you're using

The 90 degree elbows? They are brass barbs for hoses. You dont want to use PEX fittings as those are meant for plastic tubing, not rubber hose. This is what you want if you are thinking the same thing as I did for the heater hoses, https://www.mcmaster.com/#91355k55/=16r2rxq

I also recommend using spring clamps or at least worm clamps. I had an unclamped heater hose blow off at a track before. Not fun.

interesting, those look identical to what I bought at home depot. I planned to use the factory spring clamps, I'll grab some from my next junkyard extravaganza

PEX fittings have smaller barbs than hose fittings. It may work in a pinch, but you will have to clamp the **** out of it to make sure it doesnt come off. Better to just get the correct fittings. Kind of like mixing JIC and AN standards. Might work a few times, but very bad idea.

I will post some pictures later. Its actually ok if you have more than 2-3" to focus. Doesnt work that great in a cylinder as the head is about 1.5" long and rigid. Cant complain for $15 though. Something like this

So I couldnt get my camera thing in there to measure as its too long to turn, but am pretty sure its left to right as well as I could feel the vertical wall in the center.

Talked to whipple, they dont think its the blower, but recommend cleaning everything really good, making sure the blower is full and run it for a week or so and see if the oil is back. The alternative is a $1000 rebuild, so try it again I will do!
