Not sure what's "being cheap" (you meant that as a pejorative, not as being less expensive, right?) about using a higher stall factory converter?
In any event, it won't work. However, the ZL1 converter is also a multi-disc clutch with a touch higher stall, about 2000. I'm wanting to retain stock manners so something less than 2500 is what I'm looking for. With the added benefit of being multi-disc it sure looks like a viable option.

Im saying that they're not a true performance converter, they are still a stock converter regardless.
The circle d converter in my truck foot brakes to 3000rpm and drives like a bone stock converter. Mileage has not been changed one bit since I put it in... You can go "bigger" and gain performance and retain stock naners as well... You just have to do a few minutes worth of research...

single disk, I wasn't planning on going with a power adder when I bought the truck so I went with a single. That plan changed since then and I'll end up with a multi but that doesn't really change the driving characteristics from my past experiences.

Someone makes a wideband that the gauge part is rectangle I thought about finding its dimensions and seeing if it could be made to fit in the little left side cubby hole, but that's where the NX nitrous switch panel goes so idk where I'd mount anything either since nothing's really out on the market for us yet.
